 Free polemic...

1. facilitate the installation and management for the users, one can all transfer by simple ftp (and safeguard also easily), one sees all, one can all manage without great data-processing competence;
2. imply in fact, n the other hand, many accesses disc, therefore greedy and slow because the accesses disc, especially in writing (that splits up...), are optimized than the accesses most probably bases MySQL data type. Out a host like Free possesses most probably an infrastructure of servers not very powerful but with a large capacity disc for the storage of the homepages, and of more powerful servers for the database accesses.

GuppY has, I think it without modesty, the best system of basic simulation of data of the CMS in its category. The unit contents are stored in small files (one reads only those which one needs, one writes only unit information to be on nothing to corrupt), as the files of indices serve has to accelerate the selection and thus the loading. The engine of GuppY could undoubtedly be still optimized to go even more quickly, but it functions with a single robustness in its kind. Before being a pretty quite practical and convivial CMS, GuppY is especially a CMS without database, which goes remarkably well, without corrupting itself.


Webhosts known as "pros", like our sponsor Nuxit (pub!) and all those which contact us regularly, like us them. Because they understood well that a simple and satisfactory use for their customers is what imports more in their context.


And it is which is all the paradox: a Webmaster beginning will take GuppY and will want to install it on a free webhost standard Free, as a Webmaster more hardened and seeking a certain level of service will be more often able to launch out in the installation of a CMS with MySQL on a paying host.
[Note: I do not say that all paying hosts are of better quality that free hosts!]

And then, there are people who included/understood this paradox and who seek a beautiful site of quality, without catch of head have to install and have to manage, ready has to invest a little for the hosting of this site, and the other hand of a certain level of guaranteed service. And then GuppY at a host not too expensive is a good solution.

And it was posted in about 6 seconds on my site of test at Free.
