The main reason for developing another CMS grew out of the requirement to manage content without any specific purpose. Poociboo is not meant to replace a portal or shop system, which would probably better suit your needs.
The audience of this CMS are PHP developers or people who want to manage sites, especially CSS driven ones. Furthermore, Poociboo perfectly suits developers of web-based applications that require efficient access to CMS internal content.
I was focussed on ensuring Poociboo was simple to use while maintaining a dynamic and robust environment that would suit any given website layout.
I'd like to add a note, currently Poociboo requires IE6.0 for the CMS backend. A mozilla port is on the drawing boards. While other browsers do not support drag & drop javascript event handlers, or block events in designMode areas, I can not justify giving up the advanced usability features of this CMS.
To run Poociboo, you will need a PHP enhanced webserver with GD2 Lib and a MySQL database.
